The SAVE OUR PRIMARY PROJECT is a call to action.
Many South Carolinians were demoralized by the results of the 2012 national election. But now is NOT the time to despair.
If common sense, mainstream conservatives fail to unite and participate in the 2013 reorganization of the S.C. Republican Party, a handful of smaller, louder groups could dominate the process. These groups are working on a plan to end primaries (including the “First in the South” Presidential Preference Primary) and let the Republican state convention nominate candidates.
This travesty would disenfranchise and exclude hundreds of thousands of voters while placing the power to choose Republican candidates in the hands of a small group of power-brokers.
This move would destroy decades of hard work that has built the South Carolina Republican Party into the vibrant, majority party of the people. We would lose our critical “First in the South” role in electing the Republican nominee for President. Instead, Republican candidates would be viewed as the nominees of hand-picked party bosses.
WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN. WE WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN.
Our mission is to inform and motivate voters in the tradition of Ronald Reagan to get involved, rebuild the conservative movement and take our country back.
